Cookie policy

We use Google Analytics to understand website use, Cloudflare for hosting and security, and browser storage for consent and the intro animation. We use no advertising cookies. You can change analytics consent through Cookie settings in the footer.

What does this policy cover?

This policy explains cookies and browser storage used when you visit the DTech Global website. DTech Global is the trading name of Dewan Technologies, a company based in Pakistan serving clients worldwide. It should be read with our privacy policy, which explains personal information, inquiry records, providers, and your rights.

Contact [email protected] if you have questions about storage or need help understanding an entry in your browser. This policy describes the public website. A client portal or system managed under a separate agreement may have different storage requirements and should provide information appropriate to that system.

What are cookies and session storage?

Cookies are small pieces of information that a website or its infrastructure can ask your browser to store. Depending on their settings, the browser sends them with later requests. A cookie can support a security check, preserve a preference, or identify a returning browser. The name alone does not tell you what a cookie does; its purpose depends on how the site uses it.

Session storage is a separate browser feature. It stores information for a browsing session and does not automatically send that information with every page request like a cookie. Browsers generally keep it within a tab’s page session, although restoring or duplicating a tab can affect how long the information remains available.

Local storage is another browser mechanism that can persist after a session ends. We use it to remember your analytics consent choice. Browser interfaces sometimes group cookies, session storage, local storage, and cached files under a single site data control, even though they perform different functions.

Which cookies and storage entries does the website use?

We use first-party Google Analytics 4 cookies on dtechglobal.org when analytics storage is allowed. We use no advertising cookies. The table describes analytics cookies, security cookies that may be applied, and the browser storage entries used by this site.

Name Provider Purpose Duration
_ga Google Analytics, first-party on dtechglobal.org Distinguishes visitors for website measurement About 2 years
_ga_<id> Google Analytics, first-party on dtechglobal.org Maintains session information; the suffix identifies the analytics container About 2 years
__cf_bm and other Cloudflare security cookies, when applied Cloudflare Supports bot detection and security checks About 30 minutes for __cf_bm; other security cookie durations depend on the control applied
dt-consent (local storage) DTech Global Remembers analytics consent as granted or denied No fixed expiry; persists until cleared or replaced
dt-seen (session storage) DTech Global Remembers that the intro animation has been shown Browser tab session, subject to browser restoration behavior

The website is static and hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may set strictly necessary security cookies to distinguish legitimate requests, apply security controls, or maintain a security challenge state. Which cookies appear depends on the request and the security measures Cloudflare applies. Visitors may see different security cookies.

Google Tag Manager (container GTM-MFXXT6FN) loads tags and sets no cookies of its own. Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-PT58T77V6V) measures page views and how visitors use the site, including pages viewed, approximate country or city derived from IP, device and browser information, and referrer. Google acts as our processor/service provider. Data may be processed outside Pakistan, including in the United States.

Why does the intro animation use session storage?

The only purpose of our session storage is to remember that the intro animation has already been shown in this browser session. The entry uses the key dt-seen. It helps avoid repeating the intro as you move through the site or return to a page during that session.

This entry is not an account identifier, an advertising identifier, or an analytics record. It does not contain the name, email address, company, phone, service, or message you submit through the contact form. It is not intended to recognize you across separate devices or browsing sessions.

Clearing session storage can cause the intro to appear again where the intro is enabled. Blocking storage does not change the information in our policies or create a requirement to submit personal details. Browser session restoration may preserve the entry longer than you expect, so closing a tab is not always equivalent to clearing site data.

No. Delivering a page requires network requests even when no cookies are present. Cloudflare processes request data such as IP addresses, requested resources, browser information, and connection details for delivery and security. Cookie settings do not stop a server from receiving the technical information needed to handle a request.

Submitting the contact form is also separate from cookie storage. The submitted name, email, company, phone, service, and message are sent to us by email through Resend, an email delivery provider. The visitor receives an automatic confirmation through Resend. Removing cookies does not delete inquiry emails already sent.

We do not sell personal data. For information about retention, international processing, access, correction, deletion, or objection, use the privacy policy and contact us at [email protected]. Clearing browser storage does not make a request to delete personal information. To request deletion of information we hold, contact us using the privacy policy.

How can you control cookies and site storage?

Your browser settings usually let you inspect stored cookies, remove data for a particular site, block some or all cookies, and control third party cookies. The exact names and steps differ by browser and device. Look for privacy, site settings, or site data controls in the browser you use.

To investigate storage on this website, you can:

  • Open the browser’s site information panel for dtechglobal.org and review the available cookie or site data controls.
  • Use developer tools to inspect cookies and session storage if you are comfortable with those tools.
  • Remove this site’s stored data if you want to clear the intro flag and any security cookies held by your browser.
  • Review browser extensions if stored entries seem unrelated to the website’s described functions.

Blocking strictly necessary security cookies may interrupt a security check or prevent some requests from completing. Clearing site data can also remove security challenge state, causing another check on a later request. If the contact form does not work, you can email [email protected] directly.

Private browsing usually separates storage from a normal browsing session and removes much of it when that private session ends. It does not make network requests anonymous to hosting infrastructure. Browser privacy features and extensions can also change what is stored, so check their settings when troubleshooting.

For visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland, analytics storage is denied by default until they click Accept in our consent bar. Google may still receive cookieless pings without identifiers while storage is denied. Elsewhere analytics is on by default, unless a saved choice denies it. The bar opens automatically based on a European browser time zone, while Google’s regional consent defaults govern analytics storage.

Anyone can open the consent bar using the Cookie settings button in the footer and choose Accept or Decline at any time. This updates analytics storage and saves granted or denied under dt-consent in local storage. If storage is blocked, the choice applies to the current page only. Clearing site data removes the saved choice and restores the regional default on a later visit.

We do not use Google advertising features. Consent Mode keeps ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization denied for everyone, including visitors who accept analytics. Declining analytics does not prevent you from reading public pages or making an inquiry. It does not delete information already processed or necessarily remove existing cookies; use browser controls to remove stored cookies.

You can also use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on in a supported browser or your browser’s cookie controls. The add-on is an alternative analytics control; it does not manage Cloudflare security cookies or the intro flag. Review settings separately on each browser and device you use.

How can you raise questions or check changes?

The last updated date identifies this version of the policy. We review the description when website features or storage practices change. Check this page for the current explanation, and contact us if you see behavior that appears inconsistent with it.

For a storage question, tell us the browser, page URL, and name of the cookie or storage key if known. Do not send cookie values, session tokens, or screenshots containing private account data. Send questions to [email protected] so we can investigate without collecting unnecessary information.
